It’s not okay for someone to ghost you.
It’s not okay for someone to stalk you.
It’s not okay for someone to insult you.
It’s not okay for someone to neglect you.
It’s not okay for someone to call you names.
It’s not okay for someone to gossip about you behind your back.
It’s not okay for someone to make fun of you.
It’s not okay for someone to string you along.
It’s not okay for someone to yell at you.
It’s not okay for someone to snap at you.
It’s not okay for someone to be rude to you.
It’s not okay for someone to hit you.
It’s not okay for someone to cheat on you.
It’s not okay for someone to ignore your message.
It’s not okay for someone to not return your phone call.
It’s not okay for someone to constantly call or message you.
It’s not okay for someone to use you.
It’s not okay for someone to judge you.
It’s not okay for someone to lie to you.
It’s not okay for someone to manipulate you.
It’s not okay for someone to disregard your feelings.
It’s not okay for someone to tell you what to do.
It’s not okay for someone to tell you who to be.
It’s not okay for someone to tell you what to think.
It’s not okay for someone to tell you how to feel.
It’s not okay for someone to control you.
It’s not okay for someone to disrespect you.
It’s not okay for someone to constantly criticize you.
It’s not okay for someone to humiliate you.
It’s not okay for someone to blame you for something they did.
It’s not okay for someone to be absent and still demand your presence.
It’s not okay for someone to dismiss you.
It’s not okay for someone to patronize you.
It’s not okay for someone to threaten you.
It’s not okay for someone to pull you down.
It’s not okay for someone to interrupt you.
It’s not okay for someone to make you feel you don’t deserve any better.
It’s not okay for someone to speak for or over you.
It’s not okay for someone to pressure you into doing something.
It’s not okay for someone to withhold care and affection.
It’s not okay for someone to never express love to you.

It’s not okay | It’s not okay | It’s not okay

We seem to be going through a wave… a wave where we forgive, we forget, we believe, we hold on, we try, we understand, we allow and we deny. We tell ourselves that ‘He was having a bad day so he said what he said — he doesn’t mean it’ or ‘I should be the bigger person and forgive this — I’m sure she won’t do it again’ or ‘This is not who they are — they’ll change and I know it’ or ‘Oh, at least he’s better than ex’.

We let people treat us unfairly. We let people disrespect us. We let people walk all over us. We let people neglect us.

We let it happen because we are hopeful. We are hopeful that someone will change. We are hopeful that something will change. We are hopeful that it will get better.

We tell ourselves that it’s okay… that it will be okay…
Well, it’s not okay. It’s not okay. It’s not okay.
